A family-friendly hiking adventure from Simonstown to Chapmans Peak.This Hoerikwaggo Trial has a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 hikers at a time. You will overnight at the Slangkop Tented Camps in Kommetjie. Hike through the Table Mountain National Park Hoerikwaggo areas including: Red Hill, Silvermine, Kommetjie and Constantia Nek.

Day 1: Red Hill - Kommetjie
A late morning departure takes us from Signal School at the grave of the legendary dog, Just Nuisance, along fynbos-lined paths to Kleinplaas Dam. After we have rested and had some lunch (own expense), we make our way along the top of Ocean View to the top of Slangkop. We then descend Slangkop and make our way to the tented camp for overnight.
Distance: 15km (+/- 4-5 hours walk)
Day 2: Silvermine Dam – Chapman's Peak
We start near the Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetjie and spend our day day walking along the Noordhoek beach with the fresh smell of the ocean sharpening your senses. Look out for Oyster Catchers, Cape Clawless Otters and sometimes whales and dolphins. The adventure comes to an end at the bottom of Chapmans Peak.
